about the residency

The SSL Healer-in Residence Cohort is a 3-month residency for 3-5 committed practitioners. We are seeking BIPOC healing artists with specific modalities and experience practicing in intergenerational BIPOC communities. The Space Share Lab is dedicated to creating space where both practitioner and seeker are able to build community together from a co-created, co-invested space. We believe our collective power affords opportunities for the healing wisdoms within our communities to have place and platform. excited to offer our Residency to like-minded healers.

what's needed: 

• Residents will conduct at least 4-6 monthly , 60-mins community-wide healing workshops/classes

• Residents will conduct healing workshops/classes

• Residents will share financial and custodial responsibilities of the space to ensure the its viability and sustainability 

• Residents will document stories, conduct wellness surveys (for our knowledge only) and commit to bi-weekly check-in calls.

what's offered: 

• *Access to Space Share Lab in Bronzeville to conduct residency (practitioners can set their own course/class fees) 

• Marketing, promoting & feature on web & social media sites 

​*(does not include $20 hourly booking rate) 

​

what's required: 

• Experienced BIPOC healers able to work in person at our Bronzeville location

• Ability and capacity to share financial and custodial responsibilities of the space (low monthly fee + space maintenance) 

• Ability to honor agreements with full willingness, availability and integrity 

• To show up fully present and in deep care of yourself and community

• Completion of our Healer-in-Residence application

PLEASE NOTE: SPACE SHARE LAB OFFERS ITS WOMB OF SACRED SPACE FOR COMMUNITY LEADERS & PRACTITIONERS DEDICATED TO SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE AND THE RELATED HEALING AND UNITY PRACTICES REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE INDIVIDUAL AND COMMUNAL FREEDOMS. THE COLLECTIVE INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SPACES SHALL NOT BE USED TO PLAN, ORGANIZE OR DISCUSS NARRATIVES THAT FOSTER INTOLERANCE OR HATRED OF ANY KIND. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SPACE TO ADVOCATE FOR VIOLENCE, DIVISIVE ACTIONS OR ANY ACTIVITY THAT WOULD JEOPARDIZE THE SPACE AND THE MANY MISSIONS & VISIONS BOURNE FROM IT.
